Back in black!

It's a long time since I last had a black penguin tote for sale, but here it is! -My signature penguin. I will try to print some new quite soon. But at the moment, this is the only one in my shop. Any suggestions on a name for him?

Peachblossom, aspargus and banana muffins

Two buckets last year! I wonder why it is easier for me to grow peaches than apples and plums? (We're talking Norway here...)

14 last year...hm, how many will there be this year?

Spring is here! The peachtrees are blooming and it won't be long till we'll be eating our first aspargus. I guess banana muffins are not a particular spring sign. At least not around here... But you see, I found this extremely tempting receipt with yoghurt over at the ModEco Kids blog. And they were really lovely. All eaten, only one left now.
The napkins are from my Etsy shop. Recycled and handprinted with my Enchanted Garden print.

Gunnlaug Moen Hembery

Gunnlaug Moen Hembery shows her cool drawings!
The exhibiton is at the Newspaper Cartoonists House in Drøbak. It opens Saturday 18th of April 2009, at 2 o´clock. Showing a little selection of prints and original drawings from Dagbladet through the last few years, all for sale. She has called the exhibtion for "Crocked lines - a play with words and drawing".

Redesign

In Norway, the flea-market season has finally started. Hurray!
Find yourself some lovely old fabrics and make something new! Give the old fabrics a new life as a bunny or maybe a shopping bag?
The pattern to this bunny is found in the book "Påske med Tildas venner", by Tone Finnanger. It can be found here. I don't know if it is translated to english... The bunny is made from old sheets we used to have when I was a child. The fabric was not suitable for the beds any more, but now enjoys a new life as a charming rabbit for my daughter. (But I guess I am the one who loves it most...)

Mønsteret til denne haren har jeg funnet i boken til Tone Finnanger: "Påske med Tildas venner". Boken er propp full av gode oppskrifter. Denne haren er laget av noen blomstrete flanellslaken vi brukte da jeg var liten. De var for slitte til å brukes mer, men jeg reddet noen biter og sydde dette kosedyret. Så nå har lakenet fått et nytt liv som kosehare for husets yngste. (Men det er kanskje likevel jeg som elsker haren mest...)

Happy Easter!

My beloved cat, Tulla, says hello! This photo is from last summer, so in real life, this place is still loaded with snow. Hopefully the Easter holiday will bring lots of sun and take away the rest of the snow. Happy Easter!

Min kjære hittekatt, Tulla, sier hei! På bildet kan det se ut som det er snøfritt hos oss. Men det er det jo ikke... Håper det blir mye sol i ferien slik at det blir deilig og snøfritt.
