My daughter celebrated her fifth birthday on Saturday.
She wanted to have an Old-Days-Birthday. This is the invitation front.
We had been to the Childhood Museum in Stavanger and done some research and asked every person we know over 60 for advice. One thing was certain. -We could not serve sausages like everyone does around here in birthdays parties. It had to be homemade rolls. We decorated the table with old tablecloths, flowers and my old fleamarket plates. The children got some paper dolls to take home after the party.
I guess old days can be all different ages, but we settled for the 40's.
Except from me, of course. I just had to wear my Jane Austen dress. It's not easy to find an opportunity to use it, so I had to. -Don't you agree?
This necklace from MONOme had been perfect for the dress.
I'm sorry that I don't have more photos to share from the party, but I was quite busy...
