Just a reminder...

Gift wrapping doesn't have to produce a lot of waste. You can come a long way with some newspaper, leftover paper scraps, ribbons from last years gifts and tissue paper from your last flower bouquet.

Do you practice eco friendly gift wrapping? Please let me know!
And if you have a link to share, please do! I would also love to share your images on my blog!

  1. Eco-Friendly gift wrapping has been in my family for a long time. My mom taught me to reuse gift wrap - she would save the best pieces and iron them flat again.

My personal favorite is using sewing pattern tissue paper for wrapping gifts. It provides a nice neutral background and then you can spice it up for any occasion and use all kinds of things to decorate it. I like to use twine for a folk-art look. Or cut up strips of tulle for a more feminine touch. Leftover sparkly wire ribbon is pretty, too. One idea is when you are cutting up a t-shirt to make into something else, cut the seams off and save them - they make a fun eco string for tying up a gift.

  2. your wrapping looks fab! i love wrapping gifts & i try to make them extra special by hand printing my own designs onto eco brown paper. people may say handmade is too nice to use because of the tearing but i find so much enjoyment from making my own plus if you can save the paper & re-use for next time, then that's even better. have a lovely festive time unni xx
