Things I love #4 -Sweet Peas

If I didn't have sweet peas, something really important would be missing in my life. I truly love the fragrance and their cute appearance. And now, they're here to stay for the rest of the summer!

Bugs and butterflies for ladies

 My t-shirt print with bugs and butterflies was meant for children, but turned out to be popular also amongst women. So here it is, in my Epla shop, STRAND.

Summer printing

Summer to me means lots of time on my hands!
Sunny or not, there's always things to do.
Today I have been working in my print studio for the first time on a very long time. I have made some new cusion cover prints.

I have made a new cone print i thought could look good on teatowels. I'm thinking a woodland series. How do you like it?

And by the way, while you're here, I will tell you that I have listed some lavender bag sets in my Epla shop, Strand. They are great for small gifts and in your drawers, of course. Lavender is also said to scare away moths from your wool clothes. (Until some years ago, I actually thought that the problem with moths eating your cardigans was some old problem from my grandmother's time. But no... they still eat whatever they can get.)

Summertime is garlic time

My Summer holiday has started!
It's wonderfully sunny with a breeze outside. Perfect weather to dry clothes on the line.
And, it's finally time for some heavy garlic food.
I'm a teacher and try to avoid garlic when I work. When the holiday starts, I really crave some garlic.

Luckily, my garlic plants are ready to be harvested. They will separate into cloves after July and need to be lifted before that. Garlic is planted in August and harvested in July. (Bulbs bought from Solhatt, a Norwegian organic seed retailer.)

 Homegrown basil is never wrong...

Yum.

Printing

Hi there!
I just thought I'd share an image of me printing in my 50's laundry room.
(In the background you can spot my lemon tree with a tiny lemon. It seemed to like to staying here during the winter.)
I have not been able to print much lately, but hopefully Summer will give lots of opportunities for this. I am about to order some lovely linen teatowels and will be focusing on towels for a while.

The woods look magical...

The woods look magical today.
I wonder how many times they'll change during the day.
I'm busy with my student's exams these days. Really busy days.

But weekend is lovely.

Tweed necktie with reindeer

I finished another Hunter's necktie today. The reindeer is printed in brown on a reused tweed fabric.
It's for sale in my Etsy shop and my Epla shop.

I just had to show you this magical rainbow my daughter spotted outside her window during a short thunder storm the other night. Doesn't it look wonderful?
