My flower addiction (again)
I went to the Farmers Market in Oslo yesterday and bought home these wonderful flowers from Blomsterhagen på Abildsø. Locally and organically grown cut flowers.
(Why on earth shoud we buy airborne, imported flowers in summer???)
If you live in the Oslo area, you can order the cut flowers online or subscribe to bouquet of flowers (organic!) delivered on your door. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Working hard
| "Hei Pus", dusty pink pillow case with cat print. |
I have a couple of days left of my holidays and I'm working hard with my business. I want as much as possible to be ready before the next couple of super-busy months at the start of the new school year.
Today I will be off to have some interior photos with my products taken. Then there will be preparations for Saturday.
Saturday will be a really exciting day. Epla is teaming up with IKEA and are having a mini-workshop day. I am asked to talk about my business and how I'm planning and working to make my business grow.
IKEA is arranging an event during two weeks to promote the launch of their new catalogue. They have opened a (work)shop called Tekstileriet in Oslo where you can drop by and get inspiration and advice regarding upcycling and redesigning your furniture.
A lot of workshops are held during this period, here's the schedule.
Epla's day will be Saturday August 11.
Program follows in Norwegian:
Program for dagen:

Feather, rabbit & marigolds
I have been waiting for my batch of linen teatowels and they have finally arrived!
First out is a new design with a hand drawn feather.
I have been thinking about printing it in other colours too. Do you have any suggestions?
The rabbit, Noah, had a stroll in the garden yesterday. I have to be very careful letting him out, because there is so many dogs in the neighbouring gardens. But he loves it so much!
My dream is to get a dog-proof fence around the garden one day so he can really roam freely some hours each day.
Of course, the grass allways looks greener on the other side of the fence.
These marigolds (tagetes) means a lot to me. The seeds were sent to me from Mary Ellen. She runs the Etsy shop, Mary Zoom from her home in Kansas, USA.
Thank you so much for the seeds, Mary Ellen!
She makes sustainable accessories, like this practical and lovely Wrist Cuff Wallet.
Mary Ellen also has the blog, Mary Zoom.

Things I love #4 -Sweet Peas
If I didn't have sweet peas, something really important would be missing in my life. I truly love the fragrance and their cute appearance. And now, they're here to stay for the rest of the summer!

Summer printing
Summer to me means lots of time on my hands!
Sunny or not, there's always things to do.
Today I have been working in my print studio for the first time on a very long time. I have made some new cusion cover prints.
And by the way, while you're here, I will tell you that I have listed some lavender bag sets in my Epla shop, Strand. They are great for small gifts and in your drawers, of course. Lavender is also said to scare away moths from your wool clothes. (Until some years ago, I actually thought that the problem with moths eating your cardigans was some old problem from my grandmother's time. But no... they still eat whatever they can get.)

I have made a new cone print i thought could look good on teatowels. I'm thinking a woodland series. How do you like it?
